- Strategic Sites
Lancashire offers a diverse portfolio of investment-ready strategic employment sites tailored to the needs of both SMEs and global enterprises.
The Samlesbury Enterprise Zone, a 120-acre site adjacent to BAE Systems and in close proximity to the £25 million AMRC North West is a flagship opportunity which benefits from having oven ready development plots to accommodate immediate enquiries. The site will imminently see the development of a newly established circa 30,000 sq. ft. Innovation Hub
Other strategic sites include Lancashire Central, a 140-acre mixed-use development near the M6 and M65, offering industrial, logistics, and commercial R&D space. It is expected to generate up to 5,600 jobs and £390 million in annual economic impact.
The Blackpool Airport Enterprise Zone, which is home to the North Atlantic Loop and Silicon Sands, and Warton Enterprise Zone, which is becoming the centre for technological development for the new air combat programmes, also provides tailored opportunities for aerospace, data, and advanced manufacturing firms, with access to enhanced digital infrastructure and global connectivity.
These zones are supported by a £22 billion investment pipeline and a county-wide commitment to sustainable growth and underpinned by our ambitious Lancashire Growth Plan
